datatables filter + wb-frmvld fails

i have a form surrounding a datatable
the form validator that comes from the WET toolkit, uses jquery validation, and jquery validation fails for elements that have no name or id attribute and datatables.net (also provided by WET toolkit) has a filter textbox with no name nor id
thus on these pages where i have a form surrounding a datatable, i can no longer use the filter text box
