Details

Hi, I recently went back to using Wavebox after using Floorp for a while. Something I noticed is that I now have issues hiding the titlebar again?

Before, I was able to enable extra window icons on their own toolbar, then hide all the extra icons, and enable system title bar, to then hide that system title bar to get a little bit of extra screen real estate.

Now, the toolbar will always show. To compound, as I reported on the Support and Github page, it seems that combined window control on address bar is still messed up. See the attached screenshot for the issue.

I run my own rpm-ostree image here based on Bazzite latest. You can rebase to it with rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/bayazidbh/ublue-whitesur-bazzite:latest.

For my config, for the most part everything's in my home-manager repo, if you want to replicate it.

My suspicion is that the issue is from applet-window-buttons6 which has its own appletdecoration library.

I have further tested enabling-disabling compact titlebar, using Gtk+ theme, and even running on AUR Distrobox with HOME=/tmp/home XDG_CONFIG_HOME=/tmp/home/config XDG_DATA_HOME=/tmp/home/local/share env var for a clean-ish configuration. Same behaviour.

On Edge (Flatpak) and Brave (Nix & Flatpak) with the same additional arguments, the behaviour was correct, with the window control icons taking the correct amount of space when using Chromium titlebar and disappears just fine when I turn on system titlebar and I told my KDE system to hide that titlebar.

I remember having set up Wavebox once, in an Arch Distrobox, on this device before I set up the rest of my system and it behaved correctly then - so it's either applet-window-buttons6 or one of my configs from my home-manager.

For now, an additional thing that I am doing is rebasing to plain Bazzite without any of my changes as well as normal Fedora Kinoite. I'll try to update this tonight with the result.
