Is your suggestion related to a problem? Please describe.

There are some blocks that we need, but that we don't want content managers to use easily/extensively. These blocks we'll hide from the block inserter but will remain active is an admin wants to add them.

Blocks to hide

  • Search (core/search)
  • Code (core/code)
  • Preformatted (core/preformatted)
  • Verse (core/verse)
  • Social icons (core/social-links)
  • Logo Lockup (hrswds/logo-lockup)
  • Consider hiding all theme blocks
