Being able to import the json output properly into excel or calc would be great to generate comparable reports (with diagramms etc.) for more than one tested site. i'm not really aware whats possible with the earl / json format.

The Evaluation and Reporting Language is a way to express tests done in a standardized way. An Assertion always has a subject, test, result and an assertedBy key to reflect in a data format how an experiment was executed. See for more information: https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/earl/
