@torgo was wondering about the consensus state of this document, since it's "just" a WD. I think it has consensus, and it's widely used, so the WG should probably formally advance it to CR.

@dveditz, and @simoneonofri as staff contact.

I'd defer to @miketaylr and @marcoscaceres. My recollection is that they had some refactoring work planned, but I don't remember whether there was anything substantive. If not, then I agree that publishing as CR and moving to a living model would be excellent next steps.
