Velera restore using kopia in ephemeral volume scenario

Hi,

When I have an ephemeral volume claim template in a pod definition and do a backup using kopia, wondering if restore will create the PVC and do not give chance for data to be restored as the PVC definition itself is part of pod.yaml (lets say if I ensure the PVC yaml to not be backed up). Is this where the restore hook come into play?

If the PVC are not backed up, then the data in the ephemeral volumes is not backed up.
As a result, we don't have a way to restore it.
The restore hook is used for run some commands before running the workload (InitContainer) and after the workload start (exec CMD in container). It is not used to modify the restore process.
