So sometimes when I open a youtube video on youtube.com, the settings are not applied (or at the very least the boost is not applied) until I either hit ctrl+r or click on the timeline of the video to go to a specific time.
I'm using version 0.1.19 from the Chrome store with Edge Version 97.0.1072.62 (Official build) (64-bit) on Windows 10.

I don't get that issue on YouTube, but I see a similar thing on Netflix because of how it navigates without reloading the page. I put out update 0.1.22, see if that fixes it.
I have 3 values saved:
Default
