@LokiMidgard - I'm going to change utterances from the old-style GitHub "OAuth App" to the new-style GitHub "App". This will allow for more granular permissions. Take a look at the work we did for this feedback system to preview what the auth experience will be like.

🚨 utterances has been switched to a GitHub App to take advantage of the more granular permissions scheme. Read more about this change in #25.

If your blog is using utterances you will need to install the app on your GitHub repo, otherwise users will no longer be able to post comments.

Utterances is such a fantastic solution for integrating GitHub issues as a comment section! It’s clean, ad-free, and leverages GitHub’s infrastructure seamlessly. The ease of setup, open-source ethos, and data transparency are invaluable. Plus, the Primer styling and dark mode support are excellent touches. This is a real gem for developers!
