Thank you for your work! Do you think it is possible to scan also for outstanding arp requests for a dedicated IP?
My use-case is: I would like to save energy. So I have a network printer which I switch off via an zigbee-power-switch. Whenever any pc in my network tries to reach the network printer via its IP-address there is arp request on the network. I would like to power-on the zigbee-switch in this case.

That sounds like it's getting into arpwatch territory. From a quick check I don't think the netlink interface reports up ARP probes from other hosts, so I'm not sure it's an easy addition.
