- Spaghetti (enough for your serving size)
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped or minced
- Olive oil (2-3 tablespoons)
- Salt (to taste)
- Optional: Freshly grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes
- Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining.
- Prepare Garlic Oil: While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté until it's just golden and fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Combine: Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss everything together well, adding a little pasta water if needed to keep it moist.
- Serve: Season with salt to taste. Serve hot, with optional toppings like grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.
