Motorcycle alarm and position sensor

For a long time I've wanted to build a combined alarm and position sensor for my motorcycle. The alarm should detect movement and send alerts if the bike moves, but also log data like acceleration/deceleration, lean angle, and of course wheelie durations.

The basic functionality is working, but I need to add

• Calculations of lean angle, acceleration/deceleration, and wheelie duration
• Internet access
• Interface to alert service (Twilio?)
• Data logging to my LAMP server

The project moves on!

• I updated the HD44780 driver to also support 20x4 character LCDs.
• Added calculation of total acceleration (magnitude of all three vectors).
• Storage of max lean angle.
