Remove Refile #8219
Comments
Would you mind attaching a screenshot and proposing what manage actions should be available? |
"Refile" shouldn't be removed, but it should certainly be renamed. If you select emails in a given folder (i.e., inbox), then the relevant action is called "Move". Why would it be "Refile" on the message view..? This word is probably meaningless for the average person, and I haven't seen it used in any of the competing email apps. "Move" is the standard term. Then, there's the fact that the same actions within "Refile" can be added directly to the top bar as icons for faster access. However, the option within the settings doesn't make it clear that they'll be added to the top bar directly. This should be clarified. Lastly, the archive action/icon should be added to the top bar as default. Again, that is the default across the majority of email apps. Archive is a widely used feature. |
The actions within refile should all be top level, it's taking far too many clicks to perform simple common actions. Telemetry would support that but it's unavailable for now 🥲 |
Not sure if that helps, but you can add the actions you use the most directly to the top bar (right next to the delete icon):
