This seems like a nice box. Lots of room. PCB would be 174 mm x 141 mm. The connectors (including two Megadrive DE-9s) just about fit, and there's plenty of board space.
So I did spend some (quite a lot actually) of time thinking about making Monotron into an ATX or microATX form-factor. I'd then have a custom expansion connector broadly inline with the expansion slots in the case. But ATX cases are big and bulky and I think I prefer an Amiga 500/1200 style form factor.
