Auto-import settings from URL #8
Comments
Hi Filip,
Thanks for the kind words. The first thing I would check is that
auto-import is enabled in your remote settings file. It should look
something like this:
autoimport,1,https://...

Hi Tom,
first of all, i want to thank you for such an awesome plugin, which really
saves me a lot of time.
Unfortunately, I noticed that an "auto-import settings from URL" feature
doesn't work as expected. When I specify URL for the settings to be
imported and check the checkbox (Auto-import settings from the URL above
when the browser starts) it only imports the settings once (after the first
restart of a browser). Then when I go to the Import / Export tab the
checkbox is unchecked... So when i restart Firefox once again the settings
are not imported.
I would like the plugin to import settings from the specified URL every
time the browser is restarted. I would gretly appreciate if you could make
it work. I can donate some amount if you could help with it.
I use FF version 99.0 and Autofill 10.3.2
Thanks,
Filip

Wow, that was it - I didn't have URL specified in remote file. Thanks for a fast reply. Everything works like a charm now! Filip |
If you have "auto-import" option checked, the import should be automatic
every time browser starts.

I have one more question - is it possible to make the plugin import
settings from the file 'on the fly' after restarting browser, i.e. without
having to navigate to Import/Export tab and manually clicking Import button?
Now I have the path to the file saved in plugin options, the checkbox is
stays checked - but still i need to click import button, for the import to
start.
