How to place static Pod Configuration yaml files for alternative ETCD backends with kine (MariaDB, ...)

Hi everybody,

we would like to use alternatives to ETCD in a two node HA Kubernetes setup backed by Kine and for example MariaDB or Nats.

Does anybody have ideas how we can configure a static Pod for e.g. MariaDB into the ISO, that starts before the cluster is up and able to consume it?

Is it a good idea to place static pod yaml files here: /var/lib/rancher/rke2/agent/pod-manifests ?

Is there a better way doing that?
