I try to add a Salutation Dropdown to my form.

Added the following code to the Template:

<select name="mergeField3">
   <option selected disabled>Salutation</option>
   <option>Mr</option>
   <option>Mrs</option>
</select>

What to do now to handle that custom field in the EXT?
Saw the Handling of custom fields section in the manual but didn't know what to do with that.
