Seamly2D provides over 35,000 designers, tailors, patternmakers, costume designers, and cosplayers around the world affordable and relevant digital design software to create sustainable, profitable, creative, and inclusive apparel designs. Before Seamly2D, our users were typically developing patterns on Kraft paper due to the high cost and difficult outdated workflows of current fashion design software. Seamly2D enables its users to participate in the digital economy and have access to new exponentially growing markets for inclusive, custom-fit, and digital fashion.

We take on the second biggest industry on the planet to make it more democratic and accessible by all. We enable fashion designers to produce apparel using a more efficient and creative workflow, where their designs are re-editable, re-mixable, and have no licensing restrictions. Our design approach removes the ethnic bias that is built into all other fashion design software, so that Seamly2D enables inclusive-sized and custom-fit designs for no extra development costs, and designs for digital fashion are easily exportable for use in social media, games, online catalogs, print, etc.

The fashion design software industry meets the needs of big industry players, and new 3d fashion software creates patterns that don't fit real people at scale. 67% of this market is due to Fashion Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), not global brands.
