Any ideas on how to handle file uploads? Since it can't be serialized

Any ideas on how to handle file uploads? Since it can't be serialized and stored in the database.

The only solution I see right now it the following

1. Store the file on disk in a temp folder
2. Save a record to the database in a temp table
3. Change the file name on the disk to some uuid.extension
4. Pass the model (TempDocument) downstream (aggregateroot -> event -> projectors...)
5. If the business rule don't allow that file to be kept then I can just delete it

I kinda don't like that solution, it doesn't feel right.

What do you guys think?
