Autodiscovery refuses to work

I've been following the documentation, which says autodiscovery should work out of the box, but it refuses to work.

The events are successfully stored in the database, but my projector is never fired so I don't see anything in the model's table. Here's my projector.

When I use the command line php artisan event-sourcing:list it says nothing was registered. I've been struggling with this for a couple days now. I created my own EventSourcingServiceProvider to manually register it. Still not working. I tried creating a projector using the artisan command so it would create a projector under app/Projectors. Still nothing. I event tried to manually register it at the event-sourcing.php config file level. Again, nothing. What am I missing?

I'm not getting any error of any kind. All I see is that:

• Data is not persisted in my book table
• Events are persisted in the stored-events table

I can't seem to delete this so I'll post an update.

I suspect that what happened is that since I'm using sail that at some point I copy pasted a command like and it picked my local (Windows) version of PHP so it installed one version of the package and I kept working and trying a bunch of stuff. So I might have accidentally broke something.

I tried with a fresh installation of Laravel and just adding the bare minimum to make it work and it did.
