This is more of a declaration of wanting to find the right balance for this project rather team a need to redo everything....

Desires:

Avoid webpack 😈
Declare all frontend utilities so updates, security can be tracked (package.json)
sass CSS compiling would be nice
JS bundling would be nice, but I'm actually less interested in that for now...
Ideally, deploying doesn't require an active node/npm install + connection
