Search Error certificate verify failed on 3.1.1

Seeing this error on 3.1.1 sites, nothing in the logs on this side.

Thanks for the report! This is a bug with Aspace's version of jruby (specifically jruby-openssl), caused by the recent LetsEncrypt certificate expiration. I've been using an updated version locally for a while, and finally got around to creating a PR to get it updated in Aspace proper now that others are starting to use this plugin.

If you'd like to apply the changes now, the PR (below) contains the appropriate diffs. After applying them, I believe you'd just need to bootstrap the application, then start Aspace as you normally would.
