API documentation issue in linux

Hello everyone !! i am new to this API documentation field and I am seeking for some helos from the experts. i am currently using Linux mint and about to prepare an API doc for my company.
listing down the process that I have been following and need help to move forward.

1. forked slatedocs into a new repo
2. cloned the repo
3. have installed the depemdencies
4. while running the middle man server I am hitting an issue
5. also not sure about the process after .

could you please guide me on how to move forward?
