Following condition shows the large penetration:

  • num_sides: 4
  • integration rate: 1000Hz
  • steady state contact solver: points LCP

Another issue seems to be that the time it takes for the pyramid to come to steady state varies with the integration rate for points LCP solver - it takes longer with a lower rate. It is more stable for the COP solver.
