I tried EpsMeter (on a live syslog box) to gauge the EPS, the issue was the syslog host logged nothing whilst EpsMeter was running (syslog-ng listening for udp (514) logs.

I missed a few hours of syslog but gained some of interest EPS rates.

(issue / warning not to leave running anywhere where the logs are important)
