Project abstract

Scroll Network stands as a vibrant and evolving ecosystem within the decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape, offering users a diverse range of decentralized applications (dApps), services, and protocols. However, users within the Scroll Network ecosystem often encounter challenges related to high slippage when executing token swaps across various decentralized exchanges (DEXs). This issue arises due to the fragmentation of liquidity among different DEXs, leading to significant price discrepancies and suboptimal trading experiences for users. To address this challenge and enhance the overall trading experience, I am proposing the integration of a dedicated Smart Order Routing (SOR) platform tailored specifically for the Scroll ecosystem.

Reasons for Integration:

Fragmentation of Liquidity among Different DEXs: The fragmentation of liquidity among different DEXs within the Scroll Network ecosystem contributes to the high slippage rates experienced by users. Prices for the same token may vary significantly across different DEXs, resulting in inefficiencies and challenges in achieving optimal price execution. A Smart Order Routing (SOR) traverses a large universe of possible token swap combinations and non-linear paths to deliver complex routes and best exchange rates without compromising on gas fees.

Streamlined Access to Liquidity: The integration of a dedicated SOR platform into the Scroll Network ecosystem will provide users with streamlined access to liquidity aggregated from multiple DEXs within the ecosystem. This consolidation of liquidity pools will enable users to execute token swaps more efficiently and at better exchange rates, thereby enhancing the overall trading experience.

Enhanced Interoperability: Integrating a SOR platform into the Scroll Network ecosystem will promote interoperability among decentralized applications and services within the ecosystem. Users will be able to seamlessly access liquidity and execute token swaps across various dApps and services, fostering a more interconnected and efficient ecosystem.

User-Centric Design: The SOR platform will be designed with a user-centric approach, prioritizing ease of use, accessibility, and transparency. Through intuitive interfaces and seamless integration with existing Scroll Network applications, the platform will empower users to navigate the decentralized finance landscape with confidence and efficiency.
