Hi,

I used selectdefaultapplication in the past and it worked fine, but apparently something happened and not it doesnt seem to save my changes anymore. When i click "Set as default application for this types" nothing happens (i think its normal that there is no feedback?), but when i select another application on the left and then switch back to the application where i changed the types, then the types are like before again.

Any ideas how i can find the root cause for this problem? I noticed when i wanted to change the *.html type to be opened with firefox instead of chrome, but it seems to affect everything.

Ah sorry, forgot:

# uname -a
Linux leberle-desktop 5.15.25-1-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Feb 23 14:44:03 UTC 2022 x86_64 GNU/Linux

running Plasma 5.24.2 on X11, Qt 5.15.2

No idea. Its not been updated for a while, since before I forked it.

Try using my fork instead? https://github.com/magnus-ISU/selectdefaultapplication/releases/tag/2.0

The application works by modifying ~/.config/mimeapps.list so maybe try manually seeing if that is being modified?

Wait on Manjaro, you probably are using my fork as I took over the AUR package. Can you reinstall from the AUR and confirm that you are running the up to date version? It will have 3 panels, not 2.

I just tried to make sure I didn't break anything, and it did indeed work for me. I also added a confirmation when you try to overwrite rules other apps have created, and the UI will show when rules get updated. So I'm 99% sure you aren't running my version (there is no reason the old one would stop working though, idk why this might be happening).
