It would be more convenient for suppliers to directly define global variables as the fallback from context.

This allows more granularity:

  • If the event fails, fallback to the window value.
  • If the event succeeds, use that value.

This allows nested context for more complex dom-context situations.

Challenges:

  • window variables get cluttered, how do you not clutter it more?
  • listeners define this? default: (window)=>window.myGlobalDefaultProvidedValue
