We need a Jenkins job to build R binaries, similar to how we have a job to deploy R builds: https://build.rstudioservices.com/job/r-builds/

It should be similar to deploy.Jenkinsfile, except:

  • Taking an additional parameter for custom input data (i.e. -d '{"force": true}'), so you can optionally build for specific R version(s)
  • Probably using less permissions than the r-builds-deploy role
