If I activate nano-modeline, I get I weird bug with emacs (Emacs 27.2, emacs-plus@27, via brew, MacOS).
When as emacs to open a file, and in the obtained prompt I start selecting the written text, for instance, to copy the current directory (with ctrl+space and back cursor motion) or just move cursor backward, after a certain backward progression, emacs just freezes, and no way to get back it with C-g.
I reproduced the phenomenon several times. It also always disappear if I don't activate nano-modeline. I can hardly get more traces of this bug as I have to kill emacs each time.
Any clue on what could cause this problem?

Can you give a try to the nano-modeline package (ELPA) that might be a bit more stable? Note that syntac is a bit different, you need to activate it for each mode you want.
Thank you for the suggestion but then I got a stringp error or something. I guess I'll install Emacs 29 soon. Maybe most of my errors comes from incompatible configuration with the 27.2 I have.
