For a paper, it would also be good to have a small example of an analysis that can be done at slide level.

One classical candidate would be what several people have done (e.g. Adrija's rotation):

  1. derive a morphological signature for a phenotype (normal-cancer, healthy-disease);
  2. score each sample quantitatively for morphological phenotype
  3. explain the quantitative morphological phenotype based on paired, but orthogonal data (i.e. RNA-seq)

Let me know what you think. We could even repeat Adrija's work on gastritis verbatim, just reimplemented using lazyslide. This would be a good issue for someone else to come in as a 'user' and test the package.
