You've got to remember that this is an open-source project, created with free time, that is trying to circumvent accessing Reddit without the use of their official website.

If it's annoying for you, you might consider having a pull request and fixing it on your own.

If you want to actually ensure that this thing is fixed, you should really donate to the project.

The fastest way to get banned from opening issues is making them contain the least information possible - and of course not respecting basic guidelines, like checking that the instance is on the latest commit, for example.

On the other hand, as Fastball2880 pointed out, you're not in a position to demand anything here (the open source community)... You're being given free handouts by a very generous person, yet you bite the hand that feeds you.
