Is it beneficial to pick up a different linguistic skill to join CyberSecurity?

Learning different languages may not help you out as much as you think. There is one area of Cybersecurity where it may help. Threat Intelligence is an area of Cybersecurity where you may be required to read information from other countries to help understand potential threats to your organization. If you have a role where you have to dig around the Dark Web, there are many sites that are in another language where you may need to gather information.

These are not super common, so I wouldn't recommend someone take the time to learn another language before jumping into this field.
