New multi layer simulation feature for touchscreen

It's just an idea, but maybe this idea can contribute to the ongoing discussions about features that would be good to have in the QMK Configurator:

To think more carefully about the assignment of the keys in the layers for a newly invented keyboard layout it would be nice to have a touchscreen support for virtual testing.

You could test the layout including the changes to the layers before flashing a new firmware into the hardware.
Moreover such a multi layer test could also be done before developing new hardware and firmware, see features from KBF.

This idea would mean a new simulation feature in the QMK configurator.

This sounds like a completely new application would need to be written. I'm not sure it's really in scope of the configurator at this time.
