Describe the issue

What does this mean:
"To run OPL, you need an entry point for running PS2 titles. You can use everything (Swapmagic PS2, for example), but custom firmware with the latest Cobra is preferred. Note: only CFW supports HDD mode."

Note: only CFW supports HDD mode.

I use a CFW Fat Ps3 full BC, I run OPL loading game from SMB. What is that HDD mode, can I use the internal HDD like a fat Ps2? I could not find any information. All the tutorials for OPL with a ps3 BC were for USB and SMB gaming.

There is a official application to make a ps2 HDD image for games that required it, maybe its talking about using that image?

I found the official application, It can create a virtual HDD on the ps3. But the access is locked to the specific game that was created for, even making a bootable OPL or ulaunchELF with spoofed ID does not work, there is some kind of checksum or something, the disc crash and the ps3 returns to XMB.
