Abstract

Ship with TinyMCE 7 in Plone 6.1

Motivation

Copying from #3936:

From https://www.tiny.cloud/docs/tinymce/5/:

TinyMCE 5 reached End of Support in April 2023. No more bug fixes, security updates, or new features will be introduced to TinyMCE 5. We recommend you upgrade to TinyMCE 7 or consider TinyMCE 5 Long Term Support (LTS) if you need more time.

Proposal & Implementation

Update TinyMCE in mockup/plone.staticresources.

Deliverables

• New mockup and plone.staticresources releases
• entry in the upgrade guide

Status:

• Upgraded to TinyMCE 6: TinyMCE 6 mockup#1346
• Upgraded to TinyMCE 7: TinyMCE 7 mockup#1378

Shipped in Plone 6.1.0a3.
