I am trying to work out how to read a datastream value from COSM using this library, and cant find any examples to do this, and there doesnt seem to be any examples for it, sorry to post to the issues list, I wasnt sure where it should go.

Unfortunately this library is not yet capable of reading COSM streams, only publishing. I encourage you to submit a patch for the benefit of others.
