First of all, let me thank @pavlobu for his great work and all other contributors: I think Deskreen is a great tool and helps extending old devices life. For me it works like a charm and I'm very grateful to all of them.

I use Deskreen with a headless plug to use an old iPad as secondary monitor (host is Linux Mint Cinnamon). I have my host IP as a bookmark on the iPad, so when I start Deskreen I just have to edit the URL to change the numeric token, authorize in Deskreen and select the screen I want to share, and I'm running.

It's a quick process, but I wonder if it could be automated. Here's my suggestion:

  • Create a "bookmarks" section where once a connection has been completed it could be named and stored. The bookmark data would store the numeric token, the screen shared and the device IP address.
  • When Deskreen receives a connection request from a device with a numeric token and finds a matching device IP - token in its bookmarks it automatically connects that devices with the selected screen.

This is just the icing on the cake, I have absolutely no problem in running the connection process everytime I boot my laptop, but it would be a nice feature to have.

Thanks again for all the work you make in Deskreen!
