ability to save items/children in localStorage

Hello and thank you for this greate library,

i am actually struggling to make this work as it should, i am trying to save the current list ( items or children ) in localstorage, however i cannot find any way to get the new list of items or children after the drag finishes, can anyone help me on this subject ? i am using
