Currently, Maccy does not support copying and saving large text files containing 300,000 to 400,000+ and more characters in a single clipboard item. This limitation makes it difficult to handle extensive text content, such as datasets or lengthy text files. For example, copying the contents of this file: Lorem Ipsum Sample Text
results in failure or incomplete handling. With the growing use of large language models and workflows involving massive text inputs, this poses a significant usability gap.
Solution
Enhance Maccy’s clipboard manager to support larger text capacities, allowing users to copy and save large volumes of text without issues. This feature would align Maccy with modern requirements for handling large datasets and text files.
Adding this capability would significantly improve the utility and flexibility of Maccy for users working with extensive textual data.
If needed, I can provide screenshots, examples, or test cases to better illustrate the problem and the desired solution.
