Hazelcast version upgrade

We are running orientdb alongside with Vert.x, and we are facing a problem when migrating to Vert.x 4.
Hazelcast 3 is no longer supported by the new Vert.x version, so it's currently not possible for us to go through with the migration.
Is Hazelcast upgrade anywhere in the roadmap?

I saw that there were some plans to get rid of it entirely (https://jepsen.io/analyses/hazelcast-3-8-3), can we expect that anytime soon?
