Unable to add existing email as an additional verified email address to other account

I’ve noticed a message on my work GitHub account:
“You have a single verified email associated with your GitHub account. Add an additional verified email address in case you lose access to your primary email.”

When I tried to add my personal email address as an additional verified email address, I’ve got
“Error adding [email protected]: email is already in use”

Yes, I have in GitHub my personal account with the gmail address. Why I can’t specify it as an additional verified email address to another GitHub account?

I am getting same issue You have a single verified email associated with your GitHub account. Add an additional verified email address in case you lose access to your primary email.
