SAOs that also work without a badge

It might be a fun toy project to make an SAO which can co-operate with, but is not dependent on, a badge.

An example of this could be @renzenicolai's idea to make a Tamagotchi.
His idea roughly means having a functional Tamagotchi that can be plugged in to a badge and interacted with through said badge.

Another example, again from @renzenicolai, is the NFC tag SAO.
It's quite simple: A fully functional NFC tag that can be reprogrammed using a badge.
