In some cases the sub-choices will get grouped together:

The columns "Abend1" and "Abend" get grouped together if they get the same Name, witch is not the desired behavior

The behaviour is intentional. If you e.g. have a datetime poll with 12 Dates but only 1 Timeslot (e.g. 12:00), this time slot spans across all columns. That looks a lot cleaner than 12 identical time slots.

It is to argue whether it should be generally turned off for normal-type polls. Or maybe invent some kind of smart algorithm that only merges those cells that do not have direct siblings (where I'd consider "Mittag" a direct sibling of "Abend", but neither "Abend 1" nor "Morgen" or "Morgen 2").
