I've not used Yocto before, but I've dived in to learn it and get the geophone sensor recipe set up (here's hoping it wouldn't have just been much easier to reverse-engineer a Raspbian install with your files!).
I'm building just the rpi-test-image successfully, but adding this repo as a layer gives me problems. Can you give a quick idea of how I would add just the geophone recipe to a poky/yocto build process?

I'm getting all sorts of problems, that might be related to the recipe being a few years old now and incompatible with the current release of Poky. I noticed that you are requiring eglibc, for example, which isn't part of poky/meta/recipe-core/ for a long time. And just in general getting a bunch of build errors from the layer.
