Expected Behavior

All OBS windows, including floating docks, should be hidden from screen capture (such as using a Display Capture source) in such a way that they are not drawn/rendered in capture.

Current Behavior

Floating docks can appear as black boxes. While their contents are indeed hidden, the appearance of the black box is unexpected and unwanted.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add source "Display Capture."
  2. Detach any dock from the main window. Leave the dock enabled but floating as a separate popup.
  3. Enable "Hide OBS windows from screen capture" in the general settings and save.
  4. All OBS windows currently appear invisible in the preview.
  5. Close and reopen program.
  6. Main OBS window is invisible, but the previously floating dock now appears as a black box.

Anything else we should know?

Alternate reproduction:

  1. Add source "Display Capture."
  2. Start with all docks within the main window.
  3. Enable "Hide OBS windows from screen capture" in the general settings and save.
  4. Detach dock from main window. It should still be invisible in the preview.
  5. Reattach dock to main window.
  6. Detach dock a second time from the window. This floating dock now appears as a black box.
