Selection example is broken

The 'Zoom to selection' feature is broken. My suspicion is that this is because the example calls 'setupGrid' and 'draw' programmatically, which ultimately will now force an auto-scale on axes that are set to auto-scale. So, even if you set the range do be some interior range, this will ultimately be ignored by the auto-scale operation.
