I report this on behalf of a user, who sent this by private mail

Today I installed Stimifit 0.15.8 on a Windows 10 machine. A quick bit of user feedback: Windows Defender blocks the download of the exe bundle-- does not trust the source. Fortunately the user can override this with a couple of mouse clicks. Are you familiar with this problem? I don't know if there is anything that you can do on your end so that Microsoft trusts the download. Or perhaps add a note to users on the download page? Ultimately it is not a big deal, but could potentially scare off an exceptionally timid would-be user.

Tests indicates that it is possible to run Stimfit in the Latest version of Windows 10 (Windows version: [10.0.19045.2546]) through WSL2 and Ubuntu. Earlier version of Windows do not support X11 in WSL2, in the latest version of Windows/WSL2/Ubuntu, this seems to work . We tested the version in the Ubuntu repository with

     sudo apt install stimfit
     stimfit
