• To make the annotation tool easier to maintain
• Turn it into a more generic tool that is potentially useful to several communities
• To make sure the annotation tool is as useful as possible to users in the neuroscience community

Outcomes

• a roadmap document (e.g. this milestone) that shows the different phases and the specific functionality the tool will have gained
• a simple technical design document that shows the planned internal state model, flow of data in the app, how configurability will be achieved(e.g. via LinkML) with what tech (custom or existing),
• UX / wireframe document that shows how the user flows are going to work and look like
