Is there any way to filter which VLANs are presented when setting the VLAN on a Device Interface? We have LOTS of VLANs on our network.
Ideally, for an access-mode switch port, it would be best to present only VLANs which "exist on the switch or virtual chassis in a trunk". For a trunk it might make sense to present a list of VLANs in the same building or in the same comm room or such.
We've toyed with VLAN Groups and Sites, but then you can only have a VLAN in one site or group and our VLANs span sites (buildings in our case). It's nice that a VLAN Group immediately narrows down the choices presented though.
Am I going about it the wrong way? What am I missing? Is there a way to add a custom filter to the VLANs presented when editing an Interface?
