Would welcome anyone's thoughts. I restarted HA after posting my message above and the next couple days it worked as expected (returning MinSOC back to 11%). But then it stopped working again, and instead MinSOC stays at 100% each morning until I manually change it to 11% via foxess_modbus. Have I done something to upset things by moving from Cloud connection to RS485? Is there anything I could try to get it working again? |

Just to add to this... I've had to manually adjust the MinSOC back down to 11% every day apart from yesterday and today. Today (with good solar forecast and lower average usage due to less heating demand the last few days) it hasn't filled to 100% overnight. But look at the graph below - strange behaviour I haven't seen before while the batteries and car were both charging overnight: I suspect it charged the car from the battery, then EM refilled the battery to its specified level, then emptied into the car again, and continued that cycle. Clearly some things going on which weren't happening before I changed over to RS485... can anyone help me identify what I've done wrong? |

Hi, wondering what I might have done wrong here... I recently changed the connection method to my router from direct LAN (and therefore using Fox Cloud for this integration) to a Waveshare RS485 to Ethernet device. I then went through the configuration for EM again to ask it to connect via RS485. Everything was working as expected prior to the reconfiguration.
Our forecast generation is so low at this time of year compared to our usage, so it will pretty much always charge to 100%. Thus I can't confirm it's behaving exactly as expected with regard to a lower MinSOC based on forecast, but it's setting times correctly and charging to full as expected.
The only issue is at the end of the charge period it doesn't revert the MinSOC back to 11%. It stays at 100% so I have to change it manually when I wake up.
I've had a look in the log and as far as I can see there are no errors. Here are the lines I think are relevant - it appears to be setting MinSOC back to 11.0 and confirming it's successful...
